Community members connect directly with needs and resources. No caseworker, no gatekeeper. Show up. Be heard. Get connected. The intake is facilitated by rotating community members, not staff. Each intake session produces a resource map that goes directly back to the network.
Intake sessions run every second Saturday. Location is distributed via our community signal. Show up, bring what you can, and leave with what you need.
Political education. Reading circles. Writer workshops. We study the history of working class struggle and apply it to our present conditions. The Study Wing operates on a peer-learning model — no instructors, no curriculum, only guided collective inquiry. Every six weeks we select a new text, organize reading groups by neighborhood, and produce written responses that go into the Journal.
The Study Wing is open to all collective members. Check the Journal for the current reading cycle and reach out to a neighborhood reading group coordinator.
A real-time system for matching needs with resources. Food, housing, transport, medical — routed through trusted community networks. The routing system uses a distributed ledger of available resources maintained by neighborhood cells. When a need comes in, it is matched against available resources and a human connector — a trained community member, not staff — makes the introduction.
Submit a resource offer or request through the intake system. Needs and offers are matched within 48 hours. Emergency situations are handled within the hour through the rapid-response cell.
Support for working-class intellectuals, journalists, and educators. We publish, distribute, and amplify working-class voices. The Writers Desk provides editorial support, distribution infrastructure, and community for writers who are doing work that doesn’t fit the mainstream media economy. We operate a quarterly print journal and a rolling digital publication schedule.

The collective is open. There is no application, no vetting process, no probationary period. Show up to an intake session. Introduce yourself. Find where you fit.
If you have specific skills — medical, legal, mechanical, educational, logistical — let us know at intake. We maintain a skills registry that the routing system draws from when needs come in.
